September 26, 2017

0515 – Mini I-alarm goes off and plays Beethoven as the LCD screen synchs my GPS watch with the plotted 5K course I will run. As I run my watch tells me my schedule of events for today.

0600 – As I shower I select my breakfast option from a water protected LCD. I select 12 oz OJ, 12 oz water, 3 scrambled eggs, and 1 piece of wheat toast. My selection is connected to an internet controlled robot I call Da Cooker. As I come out of the shower, electronic voice commanded dryers blow hot air on my body to dry me. I prefer 80F, although it felt a little warm today so I commanded the dryers to a crisper 78F. After my digital toothbrush and shaver perform their duties for me I am handed my clothes which are selected for me based on my itinerary.

0630 – As I say goodbye to my wife and daughter, my truck is programmed to start at 0629 and the AC is set to 68F since we are in Florida. As I sit and read the newspaper online, my Star System provides the weather forecast and information on road conditions and traffic during our 15 mile drive to work.

0700 – After my Chevy Silverado which gets 100 MPG off of Hydrogen and Oxygen parks I walk to my office where I am greeted with my work agenda for the day. It is displayed off of a 48 in plasma connected to the wall. This is so much better than what I used 5 years ago when I had to click 4 times to obtain my calendar.

0730 – As I tell my 10TB hard drive, nova Core 6 Processor - 10GB processor I am amazed that it is quicker than yesterday by brining up my notes for my 0800 VTC in 0.1 nanosecond.

0800 – My department has a Governance VTC to go over production, data quality, inspection results, and Fiscal Year 17 closeout progress. Images are crystal clear and there is no delay in response from Florida to San Antonio as bandwidth has quadrupled over the last year.

0900 – I make a call to the Pentagon to follow-up on an Air Force wide contract I am implementing and the VoIP (telephone signals as digital audio) is outstanding. I have been using the video conversation for the last 3 years. Only problem is I can’t put my feet on the desk when I am talking to a General. The call goes a little longer than anticipated b/c I had to share some data files while talking.

1100 – I decide to have lunch in the office and order a turkey sandwich on wheat Italian bread with baked chips. I tell my PC what I want for lunch and from whom and it provides an exact time of delivery. Five years ago I had to use the touch screen on my LCD to order lunch. Now my microprocessor picks up my voice commands better than my employees.

1130 – After I finished lunch, I have another meeting with my employees. Although we are all in the same building we participate in the Net Share program. Since bandwidth is no longer a factor my 48” LCD breaks into two sections as a dual monitor would look like in the past. As I go around the monitor (in the past this was referred to as around the table) I can move, edit, copy, and paste files by just pointing at them and moving them to the desired location with my index finger. This allows our group to review and compile a marketing strategy to increase enrollment and improve market share. All preliminary designs are on the left side of the screen and any individual can take control by stating control please and the moderator (me) grants permission vocally. The final product is finalized and the uploaded to a website that can be viewed by our executive staff immediately. Their edits are displayed on the website and I then upload addresses where all plans are emailed and display on all LCD screens within home mailboxes.

1330 – The previous meeting was a tad long, although what we accomplished in 2 hrs used to take us half a day. I guess that is why the standard work day ends at 1430 now. You can get so much done so quickly and we don’t waste our time on all the administrative work and paper production the previous generation struggled with.

1400 – I need a snack so I stopped by the break room and scanned my ID card. It contains a chip with all my ID information and links to my payroll account. I purchased some baked papaya from Columbia and water. As I was sitting in the break room, an image of my wife popped up on my GPS watch screen asking me if I was on my way home shortly since it was our daughter’s birthday today. GPS coordinates have zero limits now no matter where you are located. I explained I was leaving at 1600 and she told me to take care of the groceries before I came home.

1500 – I call me wife back and remind her she can use the new grocery ordering system from Super Foods. Use voice commands to tell any one of our 8 mini LCD screens that you want Super Foods on Main Street and provide your name and list and I will pick it up in 30 minutes. She does this from the comfort of her wireless couch which automatically adjusts pressure depending on how much tension is detected in her lower back. The refrigerator already uploaded the food items we have depleted onto Super Foods list once she used the voice command.

1530 – I shut down my files and my personal security agent reminds me all systems are secure and zero security attacks have occurred today due to the new and improved DMZ firewall. Not bad considering I interact with clients from 80 countries. As I leave the office the temperature sensor and PC sensor all go into sleep mode automatically as I leave the office and enter my car.

1600 – My truck is getting a little low on hydrogen and oxygen, although it detects my itinerary for the remainder of the week and tells me we should fill up in two more days as it checks the market price for hydrogen and oxygen and with my estimated travel distance two days will be the ideal time to fill up. As my truck pulls into the grocery drive thru the sensor scans the auto chip in my left windshield and scans my groceries and automatically deducts the $500 from my checking account.

1645 – I arrive home and feel well rested as I took a power nap on the way home.

1700 – 1900 – I go for a rollerblading adventure with my wife and daughter. No worries about dinner as the robot has been programmed to cook the flank steak and peppers and onions exactly the way my daughter likes it. Nothing like coming home to a home cooked meal.

1900 - 2100 – After we finish dinner we decide to watch a movie on our Super HD. My daughter selects Ice Age 5 and before the movie comes on I upload 50 10X20” pictures from our new wireless digital camera. Its capacity is 1TB. She enjoys them and then we watch Ice Age 5 and all enjoy the wireless leather couch.

2130 – We get ready for bed and listen to our programmed music while our teeth are brushed and our alarm clocks tell us what time we will wake up just to check before our mattresses synch with our alarm clocks and lull us to sleep via its wireless adjustable sleep mattress.

It has been a great day and thank goodness it is the weekend tomorrow!!
